We’re a pack of Crafty Makers and Yarn Misfits
We craft our own way.
We share our knowledge with friends.
We will keep our craft alive and we will live our lives by our own values and at our own pace.
We have a lot of fun and we hope you’ll join us.
CHY started out as a hobby and a bit of spare change to help me fight off postpartum depression. The name came about because when you get overly excited about yarn, spinning, sewing , cooking etc other people tend to not understand. I’ve always been a fan of old words and notions so I thought it was funny that this old fangled word “ housewife” had become sort of a dirty word in our modern time. Now I’m a modern girl and all but it seemed to me that there should be a way for women to wear all the hats we want to wheather that’s being a mom or caretaker or running a business. This business has grown into much more of community so we have everything from “ housewives” & farmers to super driven career people looking for a creative outlet. No matter how much things have changed and grown our core values of not taking life too seriously and promoting kindness and small cottage industry will always stay the same.
